Happen to pass the church and decided to just step inside for a quick peak. What a spectacular surprise!! The inside is half repainted in these beautiful deep jewel tones.....simply breathtaking!!! I like the fact that you can see the difference of the original aging of the paint. I hope they leave some of it like this so you can see the true historical beauty.

A must-see when in Paris. Jaw-dropping glass murals on the first floor of this small but oh-so-beautiful chapel located in the Ministry of Justice on Ile de la Cité.

Sainte-Chapelle is a cathedral of light. Standing in it, you are surrounded by the most beautiful glass windows ever made. It takes your breath away. I know that people say that about a lot of things that don't have that effect - this place will.
