Free entrance is available on the first Sunday of January, February, March, November, and December and during European Heritage Days.

Closed on January 1, May 1 and December 25.

The Pantheon in addition to being in a wonderful area is absolutely breath taking and exciting for history buffs.

On entering the Pantheon the atmosphere is palpable. The great Foucault pendulum is mesmerising, I could have watched for hours. Then down the grand stone staircase to the tombs of Voltaire, Rousseau and Victor Hugo to name but a few. Pierre and Marie Curie share a vault. The whole place was much bigger than I expected and very peaceful.

we stumbled on it...it was getting late so we went back next day...amazing, and with the Marie Curie exhibit there ...even better. Paris has that habit of making you forget it (seemingly) costs you money to even open your eyes in the morning,with places like this I recommend highly.
