This is where Marie Antoinette was held until her death. It's been cleaned up and looks all bright along the Seine. It has a castle-like appearance and is centuries old.
The museum is located in an old prison and is a really interesting building to wander through. It’s a little light on artefacts but has plenty of information panels explaining key events and figures of the revolution. Definitely an interesting spot to visit for those interested in French history, particularly the Revolution.
The Conciergerie is a really cool place to spend a few hours in Paris. With its storied history, it is very cool to walk through the old prison. The Marie Antoinette exhibit, in particular, was great. The exhibit displayed how Marie was portrayed in her time and thereafter. It was visually interesting and thought provoking. If you find her a fascinating person in history, I highly recommend.
