Here's what awaits you:
- Rich History: Delve into the Conciergerie's evolution from royal residence to revolutionary prison, housing infamous figures like Marie Antoinette.
- Architectural Marvel: Explore the Grande Salle, a stunning hall known for its Gothic architecture and intricate details.
The Marie Antoinette exhibit had just opened when we visited and it was somewhat interesting, but as French history does not grab me like German or British history, so it was just ok. It was very sparse in terms of being a museum. No wow factor here. Can totally skip this and be ok.
A palace which afterwards was used as a prison where Maria Antoinette had her last days. It is in the isle de france and you find it very easily!
Found by accident, has Marie Antoinettes cell inside and revolution prison. Beautiful arch ceilings in main area.
