The Pantheon has some wonderful architecture. I found the most interesting part to be in the lower level. This is the final resting place of some truly amazing and historical individuals. A fascinating visit and often overlooked.
It was an unexpected building, with an excellent history of France from the magnificent paintings. The clock, with its ceiling to floor pendulum was quite unique. An added bonus was the crypt with the remains of so many French men and women covering the entire spectrum; arts, science, and humanities London has Westminster Abbey, Paris has the Pantheon.
The Pantheon is a huge history buffs delight. Many famous people buried in the Crypts. There is a huge gold ball pendulum which is a clock at the bottom hung from the very high ceiling. There was a sign language display and exhibit about the Louis Braille system .
