They were I the midst of putting together an exhibit of Marie Antoinette, so we were unable to go through all areas. I had read that there was a cell set up with MA as she would have been in her final days. Unfortunately, that was not set up but everything we did see was very informative and interesting.
We really enjoyed this museum and learnt a lot about the French Revolution - it was explained very clearly! The use of the iPad to learn more and look at how the prison uses to be was a genius idea. Perfect for children to be enticed into learning about history (7yrs +). The other result to coming here is you can buy a combination ticket which then means you can jump the long queues at Sant Chapelle! Best tip of the day! Also make sure you cross over the river to look at the outside of the building - equally as stunning!
This is a good place to visit for history buffs. You can buy a combined ticket with Sainte Chapelle which I would recommend. There is definitely something to learn here and for those interested in Marie Antoinette, this landmark plays a part in her history.
